Ambassador Programme for Tallinn Launched
The Tallinn City Tourist Office & Convention Bureau has launched an ambassador programme in the country's capital, Tallinn. Building on a similar project that the ECB successfully implemented in Tartu last year, the programme will recruit local academics and business people to act as partners in attracting international conferences to the city.
Workshops planned for next year will show Estonian professors and scientists who are members of international associations how to bring their conferences to Tallinn, and give them information about how the TCTO & CB can help them in the process.
A reception for the launch took place on Thursday, November 25 in Tallinn's historic Town Hall. It was hosted by the city's mayor, Edgar Savisaar, and attended by 56 guests.
