From China and France to Brazil, GL events to launch new facilities and offers to meeting planners on four continents

GL events, a global player in event organization and venue management, operating over 50 convention and exhibition centresglobally,introduces new venues opening next year in Brazil, China and France.

New convention centre in Salvador de Bahia (Brazil)

A new convention centre in Salvador de Bahia, accommodating up to 20,000 attendees in a modern seafront facility will open in a few weeks. Already operating Sao Paulo Expo and Riocentro, two of the largest exhibition and convention centers in South America, GL events will manage the venue for 25 years. Salvador is the largest city in Northeast Brazil, fully equipped with hotel and access infrastructure to host large-sized conventions and events.

New convention centre in Guangzhou (China)

On the other side of the world, a new convention centre will open in the heart of Guangzhou, 3rd largest city in China, strategic hub in Guangdong - Hong Kong - Macao Greater Bay Area. China's southern gateway to the world and home to famous Canton fair, Guangzhou aims to attract international conferences and meetings by simplifying visa procedures and investing in high-profile infrastructures, such Guangzhou Yuexiu International Congress Center, a 17,000 sqm versatile event and business complex with cutting edge technologies and international staff.

New convention centre in Toulouse (France)

In France, the MEETT, new Toulouse Exhibition and Convention Centre (opening in June 2020) will be one of the largest event venues. Located in the world capital of aeronautics and leading knowledge and innovation hub, namely in life science and ICT, Toulouse is a growing MICE destination in Southern Europe with its culture, 'pink city' architecture, Garonne River, climate and conviviality.

More launchings

Even more launchings are expected in 2021 with a new congress centre opening in Budapest, following alarge-scalerenovation and extension project of Hungexpo. In France, a new state-of-the-art exhibition centre will open in Strasbourg and Reims will welcome a new arena.

Enhancing service quality and customer experience

In addition to adding new venues to the network, GL events has started an extensive project on developing service quality and customer experience aiming to better serve association and corporate planners by insuring local connections, knowledge transfer and enhanced hospitality.
